I love to buy fake food, especially sushi, bread and fruit.
I once ran a resort with my husband in Spirit Lake, Idaho called Lake Haven Resort and we were terrible at it but learned how to operate a snow plow in winter and sell maggots in summer.
My grandfather, Henry Griep, was an award-winning butter maker and used to bring home fresh cream in glass jars with a lip of fat on the top and butter chunks smeared on waxed paper—the paler, the better.
